COMMERCIAL STORES PERSON

An opportunity has risen within the Commercial Stores of Finance Division for an experienced Commercial Goods Stores Person.

Based in Port Moresby, this position will report to the Commercial Stores Supervisor and will be responsible for Commercial Inventory including purchasing, receiving, issuing, storage and control in accordance with established procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out Goods receipt and stock management;
  • Issuing of Goods using approved requisitions on a timely manner;
  • Assist on stock reorders to ensure all stock is held above minimum stock levels
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure all goods are delivered to the commercial store and all stock is secured prior to closing of the store each day;
  • Liaise with supervisor to ensure requisitions are approved in a timely manner to ensure stock is on hand to meet demand;
  • Minimising wastage within the commercial store and ensuring stock is maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations;
  • Participate and carry out stock take/cyclic stock take;
  • Ensure the store is kept clean and tidy;
  • Maintain a secure area at all times;
  • Other stores duties as assigned by the Supervisor or CS team.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum one year working experience in Aviation Store/Warehouse with Stores knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
  • Grade 12 level education
  • Experienced with MS Office software
  • Able to utilise search software to find products
  • Honest and Reliable
  • Extremely cost conscious
  • Must have experience within a stores / warehouse environment
  • Previous experience with stock management software or the ability to acquire the knowledge quickly
  • Must be accurate
  • Knowledge of Purchasing and Inventory Procedures for the Commercial Stores
