A leading organization in the manufacturing and FMCG sector is seeking a dynamic and analytical Commercial Strategy Analyst to drive strategic commercial initiatives and enhance sales force efficiency.
The Role
This pivotal role provides high-level analytical support to the sales leadership team, focusing on improving sales processes, systems, and pricing strategies. The successful candidate will evaluate pricing scenarios, streamline commercial reporting, and provide the evidence-based insights necessary to drive the business's commercial strategy.
Main duties include:
- Design and implement complex sales analyses and comparative reports to serve as the "Company Source of Truth".
- Generate and recommend pricing scenarios based on competitive market dynamics, actual costs, and business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate sales force productivity and market penetration to provide actionable insights.
- Manage the Commercial Sales Incentive program, ensuring all targets are accurate and delivered on time.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Develop and maintain digitalized metrics and dashboards using BI tools to track performance against targets.
- Research pricing trends and collaborate with vendors to understand factors influencing market prices.
- Drive process improvements and operational excellence programs across the standardized selling model.
- Influence decision-making through rigorous logic and methods to solve complex commercial problems.
- Lead training efforts associated with new sales technologies, reports, and dashboards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales analytics, pricing analysis, or commercial operations, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing industries.
- Advanced Excel and data analytics skills; proficiency with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong technical knowledge of pricing strategies, financial modelling, and market analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Proven ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
