We are currently looking for suitable, qualified, experienced, and highly motivated professional to fill the role of Community Facilitator to be based in Arawa, Bougainville Area Program.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Community Facilitator leads frontline engagement—mobilizing communities, facilitating participatory planning and learning, and ensuring inclusive, accountable implementation of WOVEN Phase 2 activities. The role strengthens community ownership, promotes gender and disability inclusion, and supports consistent data capture, reporting, and adaptive management. The community Facilitator should ensure understanding of local culture and governance structures.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary qualification (certificate, diploma, or degree) in Community Development, Social Work, Public Policy, Education, Agriculture/Livelihoods, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in community facilitation within PNG, preferably Bougainville.
- Experience in financial literacy/savings groups, gender inclusion, nutrition, agriculture, or resilience programming.
- Experience with safeguarding, protection referral pathways, and accountability mechanisms.
- Basic digital literacy (smartphone/tablet data entry, WhatsApp/Teams coordination).
- Proven experience delivering training courses using participatory and adult-learning approaches.
- Experience working with diverse groups (women, youth, people with disabilities) and local leadership structures.
- Basic monitoring and reporting skills; comfortable with data collection tools (paper or digital).
- Fluency in Tok Pisin and/or local Bougainville languages; good written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with ABG coordination processes and ward-level governance.
