About Us
The National Development Bank (NDB) is a development finance institution, wholly owned by the state of Papua New Guinea. The bank operates 19 branches around the country and lends to individual Papua New Guineans and indigenous businesses operating in the agriculture and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) sectors.
The Compliance Officer will ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies through compliance assessments and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance registers and track regulatory changes.
- Conduct compliance reviews and risk-based testing of controls.
- Manage compliance lifecycle: intake, documentation, resolution, and reporting.
- Support incident management by ensuring compliance breaches are logged and remediated.
- Prepare compliance reports for regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with departments to implement corrective actions for non-compliance.
- Assist in developing compliance training materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- 3+ years in internal audit or compliance.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations.
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks and policy interpretation.
- Strong investigative skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional documentation skills.
