CONSTRUCTION PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR

The company

We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join Capex Solutions Limited, a growing construction company established in Lae, Papua New Guinea. We are engaged in projects across the spectrum of Commercial, Residential, Civil, Industrial and Mining sectors.

The role

The Procurement Supervisor manages the buying of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services needed for projects, making sure they arrive on time, meet specifications, and stay within budget. The role also involves supplier coordination, contract and bid support, purchase order tracking, and cost control across construction.

What you will do

• Source and evaluate suppliers and contractors for construction needs.
• Prepare, review, and support bids, tenders, contracts, and purchase documents.
• Coordinate deliveries so materials and equipment match project schedules.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery timelines.
• Track costs, invoices, and procurement records to keep spending under control.
• Support site warehouses and storemen in their tasks
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

What you will bring

• At least 3 years in a procurement supervisor role.
• Construction industry experience and sound knowledge of construction materials (essential).
• A proven record of negotiating savings and controlling costs.
• Experience using an integrated purchasing/ERP system (5 years preferred).
• Strong written and spoken communication, and close attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment.

Desirable

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
• Knowledge of cataloguing standards, warehousing and inventory control.
