Construction Site Supervisor Job Description

As the Site Supervisor, you are responsible for the direct execution of the construction work, leading the team and managing the resources or tools for it, ensuring the quality, safety, and timeline requirements established under the guidelines of the Project Manager, with the aim of ensuring correct and on time execution of the project.

Project Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities

• Foresees, requests, and activates the provision of labour, resources, materials, machinery, or tools necessary for the execution of tasks.
• Organises and distributes work, guiding and controlling both in-house and subcontracted labour for it.
• Ensures that construction works are based on approved scope of works and strictly implement cleanliness on site including quality works done by subcontractors.
• Inspects and oversees work in progress to ensure that work and materials conforms to specifications and that construction schedules are adhered to.
• Monitors and verifies the progress of the construction work, material needs, inventories, and receipt of materials.
• Ensures the condition, arrangement, and appropriate use of machinery and tools.

Project Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in a construction industry associated field. Trade qualifications and history a must.
• Five years’ experience as a construction site supervisor
• Written and verbal English Proficiency a must
• Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently
• Able to manage a team of employees and multiple projects
• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Able to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions
