Customer Service Supervisor – Hagen

An opportunity has risen within the Operation’s Division’s Outports department for an experienced Customer Service Supervisor based in Mt. Hagen.

This role is responsible for day to day Customer Service issues such as complaints, concerns or assistance needed by passengers and to ensure a high level of Customer Service is maintained.

They will be involved in the following key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Customer Service teams to ensure service standards are achieved;
  • Monitor operational requirements to ensure optimal use of available resources;
  • Assist team members with the resolution of passenger issues and problems;
  • Identify training needs to address team member knowledge and skills gaps;
  • Maintain a positive and progressive work environment;
  • Supervise Customer Service team on shift ensuring the appropriate service standards are met;
  • Manage flight and passenger disruptions;
  • Maintain a detailed and practical knowledge of customer recovery techniques;
  • Ensures all on time performance targets are met and communicated to staff in accordance with the Company Precision Timing Schedule; and
  • Assist the Duty Managers with the completion of team member performance reviews and ensuring training needs are addressed with team members.

For your application to be considered, you must have relevant qualification with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes;

  • Grade 12 (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent
  • Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality would be an advantage
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Strong people skills with being polite, well-mannered and approachable
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a customer service role
  • Sound computer knowledge
