International freight is handled via the FedEx Express global network with registered customers having access to online services for shipment tracking and scheduling pickups at their fingertips.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Team: Oversee a team of compilers in the Customs Department.
- Daily Task Management: Ensure all department tasks and KPIs are completed daily.
- Support Management: Assist the Customs Manager with daily operations and act as the manager in their absence.
- Cargo Clearance: Handle Customs and NAQIA clearance of consolidated cargos.
- Liaison: Communicate with Customs and NAQIA regarding cargo clearance.
- Airway Bill Registration: Register airway bills in the DMS.
- Payment Processing: Raise cheques for customs entries and other related payments.
- Client Assistance: Assist FedEx clients with customs inquiries.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Customs Manager.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Education/Qualifications: Diploma in Business preferred, or, at minimum, Year 12 High School Certifificate with excellent English and Math.
- Licensing: Must hold a PNG Customs Brokers license.
- Experience:
- 2 years as a supervisor.
- 2 years in a customs/shipping environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of the ASYCUDA system.
- Familiarity with PNG Customs & NAQIA regulations and tariffs.
- Competency in Microsoft OS and DMS systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Team player with the ability to foster teamwork.
- Basic customer service knowledge.
- Good organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills.
Other Information
- Working hours - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm and 8am to 12pm on one fortnightly Saturday will apply, however subject to business requirements, hours may vary after 5pm, weekends and Public Holidays. Overtime is provided for, within Company Policy and Guidelines.
- Location – 7 Mile, Port Moresby
- Training - In recognition of your contribution, we in turn will provide on-the-job training as well as in-house soft skill training to advance your essential workplace development as required.
- Restrictions - This occupation is open to PNG citizens only.
- Remuneration - Commensurate to qualifications, relevant licences and experience.
- Probation - A three (3) month probationary period will be undertaken to ascertain the suitability of the candidate before a full-time position is appointed.
