We are seeking a competent and flexible individual to fill the vacant position of Data Analyst. This position is based in Kimbe, West New Britain Province and reports to the Admin Superintendent.

DATA ANALYST

Job Purpose:

The Data Analyst role is responsible for collecting, processing and analyzing data from the Workshop and Transport Operations to help the company make informed business decisions. The role involves converting raw information into meaningful insight through reports, dashboards and data visualizations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collect, collate and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Support business decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
  • Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with departments to understand data needs and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain databases and document related to data processes.
  • Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics and Computer Science, Economics or related fields.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience with programing language.
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets and knowledge of database management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytical tools and software such as Excell, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data modelling.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data insights clearly.
  • Possesses key competencies and skills such as analytical thinking, data interpretation, time management, team collaboration, confidentiality and integrity.
