Deputy Head of Training & Competency

The Deputy Head of Training & Competency reports directly to the Head of Training & Competency and is responsible for assisting in the management and execution of training and competency programs under CA Rule Part 121, Subparts I and J. This position supports the HoTC to ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency in all training-related operations.

Key accountabilities are:

• Assisting in managing training and competency assessment programs, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with CA Rule 121 Subparts I and J.
• Supporting the HoTC in maintaining competency standards for flight/cabin instructors, examiners, and specialist ground instructors.
• Contributing to the development, control, and relevance of company training material.
• Assisting in standardization efforts for training delivery methods and ensuring consistency across instructional staff.

Qualification/Experience/Skills

• Holder of Air Transport Pilot Licence
• 3 years as pilot-in-command under Part 121 operations
• 3 years in an operational control position
• 3 years in a senior management position
• Proven experience in aviation training, instructional standardization, or competency assessment.
• Familiarity with the Civil Aviation Rules
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
