The National Development Bank (NDB) is a development finance institution, wholly owned by the state of Papua New Guinea. The bank operates 19 branches around the country and lends to individual Papua New Guineans and indigenous businesses operating in the agriculture and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) sectors.

As part of our digital growth strategy, we are seeking a talented Digital Marketing Officer to help drive our online presence, customer acquisition, and digital engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing

  • Plans and executes all web, SOE/SEM, Database marketing, email, social media and display
    advertising campaigns
  • Designs, builds and displays advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against Marketing goals and objectives (KPIs)
  • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing
  • Plans, executes and measures experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Identify critical conversion points and drop off points and optimize user funnels
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vender partners
  • Evaluating emerging technologies
  • Provides thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

Public Relations

  • Write and distribute press releases, media kits, and newsletters
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets
  • Coordinate PR events, products launch, and community outreach events
  • Monitor media coverage and manage reputation and crisis communications
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all public-facing channels

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, Business or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in financial services or banking
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as Word Press, Adobe Dreamweaver, google analytics, Meta Business Suite, and email marketing platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with performance data
  • Excellent communication, content creation, and project management abilities
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with media buying and paid advertising
  • Knowledge of local media landscape and cultural skills
  • Graphic design or video editing skills
