We currently have an immediate vacancy for a Driver who is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of Goodman Fielder products, materials, and personnel within Lae and surrounding areas. This role ensures compliance with company policies, road safety regulations, and customer service standards while supporting daily logistics and distribution operations.

Your Key Responsiblities:

1. Transportation & Delivery

• Operate company vehicles to transport goods, materials, and staff as required.

• Deliver products to customers, distributors, and internal sites following assigned routes and schedules.

• Ensure accurate loading, unloading, and verification of delivery quantities.

• Maintain delivery logs, trip sheets, and required documentation.

2. Vehicle Care & Maintenance

• Conduct daily pre‑start and post‑trip inspections.

• Report mechanical issues, damages, or safety concerns immediately.

• Keep the vehicle clean, roadworthy, and compliant with company standards.

• Ensure fuel usage is recorded and monitored.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all road safety rules, traffic laws, and company driving policies.

• Adhere to GFI’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures.

• Use PPE where required and support safe loading/unloading practices.

• Assist in maintaining a safe working environment in the transport yard.

4. Customer Service

• Represent Goodman Fielder professionally when interacting with customers and the public.

• Handle customer queries politely and escalate issues where necessary.

• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.

5. General Support

• Assist with warehouse or logistics tasks when required.

• Support emergency or ad‑hoc transport requests.

• Participate in toolbox meetings and training sessions.

To be considered for the role, you will need to have:

• Valid PNG Class 4 or Class 6 Driver’s Licence

• Minimum 2 years’ driving experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCG or logistics.

• Proven safe driving record with no major traffic violations.

• Experience driving manual and automatic vehicles.
