About the Role

Pacific Service Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Port Moresby. This is a pivotal role focused on the end-to-end design and delivery of building electrical systems for high-profile commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring all designs meet the rigorous safety and performance benchmarks required in Papua New Guinea, specifically adhering to Australian and New Zealand (AS/NZS) standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Design: Execute comprehensive electrical designs for building services, including power distribution, interior/exterior lighting, emergency systems, and fire detection.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure all project specifications and installations strictly adhere to AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules) and related benchmarks (AS/NZS 3008, 1680, 2293).
• Technical Oversight: Provide senior-level technical guidance during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.
• Certification: Act as the technical authority for the submission of electrical drawings and compliance certificates.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, project managers, and mechanical engineers to ensure integrated building service solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following mandatory criteria:

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience specifically in Electrical Design within the building services sector.
• Licensure: Must hold a current and valid license with the IEPNG (Institution of Engineers Papua New Guinea).
• Technical Expertise: Mastery of AS/NZS standards is essential.
• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and electrical calculation software (e.g., PowerPac or similar).
• Location: Ability to work full-time from the PSG Head Office in Port Moresby.
