As part of our commitment to operational excellence, Nestlé PNG Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our Engineering Team at the Lae Factory.
Reporting to the Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for leading and coordinating all electrical maintenance activities within the factory. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production lines, utilities, and electrical assets, while driving continuous improvement and technical capability development within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise Electricians to ensure safe, timely, and quality execution of all electrical work.
- Ensure full compliance with Nestlé safety standards, statutory requirements, and PPL licensing
obligations. - Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective electrical maintenance activities to meet
reliability targets. - Provide expert troubleshooting on complex electrical faults, automation systems, PLCs, servo and
frequency drives. - Ensure accurate updates of work orders, asset history, and technical records within CMMS (SAP /
AMM). - Maintain electrical drawings, documentation, and equipment technical files to audit-ready standards.
- Support implementation of capital projects, equipment installation, commissioning, and industrial
automation upgrades. - Manage critical spare parts levels and liaise with Procurement and Suppliers to ensure operational
readiness. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, energy efficiency, and
OEE. - Collaborate effectively with Production, QA, Safety, and Engineering teams to deliver factory targets.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Electrical Trades Qualification and a valid PPL Electrical Licence (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years’ electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a
supervisory role. - Strong working knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), automation, instrumentation, and
industrial process control. - Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and CMMS systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capability.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- High level of safety awareness and operational discipline.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
