Electrician

We are looking for an Electrician to join our Facilities team in Port Moresby.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment across the company's properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and air-conditioning systems.
• Install new electrical systems and equipment in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, repairs, and electrical inventory.
• Respond to and resolve electrical emergencies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the Facilities team and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Key requirements, qualifications and skills for the role:

• A recognized trade certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Holder of an Electrical Trade Certificate (i.e., NATTB Level 3 or equivalent).
• Having an Electrical License from the National Energy Authority (NEA) through PNG Power Limited is an advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
