We currently have vacancies for Electricians to join our already strong and vibrant Maintenance team under OPERATIONS Department in Lae, Morobe Province. Reporting to the Electrical Engineer, this role requires you to be punctual and reliable, can self-manage and use initiative, and be a team player so that Goodman Fielder can lead the way in providing the best possible solutions to electrical breakdowns.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Attending to electrical breakdowns with a sense of urgency, and keeping within the company policy on Safety, Quality, and LOTO.
• Work with the Mill Production Supervisor, Safety, and Quality staff to fix ongoing problems.
• It is a requirement that your phone is always switched on and shared to receive calls at work and pass on to the next duty shift electrician.
• Carry out PM tasks as instructed by your Shift Supervisor.
• Complete shut-down maintenance once a week, or if required, and work overtime as required to complete essential works.

To be considered for the role, you will need to have:

• A current PNG power license
• Minimum Grade 12 Higher School Certificate
• Trade Certificate in relevant trade, i.e. Electrical diagnostics.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Possess satisfactory language, mathematical and reasoning skills
• Current Driver’s license (desirable)
• At least three years experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated success in a similar level position.
