2. Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Services Supervisor to lead and coordinate engineering maintenance, technical services, and infrastructure activities across our operations. The role provides hands-on technical leadership across lathe work, line boring, drilling and milling, surface preparation, industrial paint coating systems, plant and equipment servicing / repair, and hydraulic component diagnosis and repair, supporting the delivery of high-quality engineering and equipment services to MTIS Group’s energy sector clients across oil, gas and mining.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Machine Shop, Grit Blasting, Coating, Equipment Servicing & Repair, and Hydraulic Component Repair teams.
• Allocate work according to job priorities, client requirements and project schedules.
• Mentor, coach and train machinists, blasters, painters, service technicians, hydraulic repairers and apprentices.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship and adherence to work instructions across all supervised sections.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate daily work plans to the workshop team.
• Liaise with the Operations Manager and Project Engineers on job scope, priorities and resourcing.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement across all workshop sections.

4. Key Requirements

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical

• Minimum 5–10 years’ hands-on experience in a machine shop, workshop or mechanical engineering environment, including lathe, line boring, drilling and milling work.
  • Significant experience in engineering supervision, preferably within a mining, construction, processing, or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising multidisciplinary engineering or maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, engineering practices, and workplace
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving
  • Good computer literacy and experience with maintenance or reporting
