ERP Project Specialist

The Mapai Group is a Nationally owned Transport, Logistics and Custom Agents based in Lae with branches in Goroka and Mt. Hagen. The Group specializes in logistics, trucking, customs clearance, and freight forwarding.

The Mapai Group is seeking Expression of Interest for a suitably qualified ERP Project Specialist who will join us on a short-term contract for four (4) months based in Lae Morobe Province. This period may be extended depending on the progress and any unforeseen changes or requirements. The Specialist will play a key role in analyzing business requirements, managing project lifecycles, and ensuring the successful implementation of ERP project to work on a Terms of Reference (ToR) for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful ERP rollout.
• Support data migration, testing, user training, and documentation processes.
• Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Troubleshoot ERP issues and provide timely solutions and escalations.
• Monitor project milestones and assist in meeting delivery timelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must have bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in ERP system implementation or project management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex technology projects, especially ERP implementations, preferably in Transportation and Logistics, specifically in land transport.
• Strong project management skills, including experience with project management tools
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of business processes across various departments (e.g., finance, logistics, workshop, HR).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good understanding of PNG transport environment
