ESTIMATOR POSITION IN LAE!

The Company

Capex Solutions Limited is a growing, well-established, well respected construction company in Lae, Papua New Guinea. We are engaged in projects across the spectrum of Commercial, Residential, Civil, Industrial and Mining sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experience Estimator to join our team.

The Role

As a full time Estimator in our team, your primary role will be to estimate the costs of a planned construction project in terms of the labour, equipment and materials required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings/plans, specifications, and related documents.
• Identifies labour, material, and time requirements.
• Researches, sources, negotiates and obtains the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data
• Works closely with key members of the project team and liaises with clients and suppliers
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Higher education qualifications in quantity surveying, estimating, drafting or building studies
• Minimum three years’ experience as an Estimator or in a similar position
• Ability to work autonomously and with the Design team
• Experience with costX, CAD and MS Suite or similar estimating and drafting programs
• Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently

Immediate start desirable.

This is a residential, full-time role based in Morobe (Lae), Papua New Guinea. A competitive package commensurate with skills and experience will be offered to the right candidate.
