Atlas is part of the Kenmore Group of Companies and supports projects across steel fabrication, modular housing, building, and civil works.

We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Port Moresby team and prepare accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.

This is not a role for someone who guesses numbers or waits until the last minute. We need someone who can read drawings properly, understand scopes of work, price jobs accurately, manage tender deadlines, and support the business with reliable cost information.

If your experience is limited, this is not the one to test it on.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for preparing detailed quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, tender submissions, quotations, budgets, and pricing schedules.

That includes reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes of work, supplier quotes, subcontractor pricing, labour, materials, plant, preliminaries, and commercial risks before a submission goes out.

You’ll also support the commercial and project teams with handover budgets, variation pricing, cost advice, tender records, supplier pricing updates, and post-tender reviews.

You’ll work closely with managers, project teams, design and drafting staff, sales, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to make sure pricing is accurate and commercially sound.

The expectation is simple: price the job properly, protect the margin, and help Atlas win the right work.

Who This Suits

This role suits an experienced Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or construction professional with strong estimating experience.

You understand construction drawings, specifications, contract documents, BOQs, tender requirements, supplier pricing, subcontractor pricing, and project cost control.

You should be confident working with Excel and, ideally, estimating or take-off software.

You know how to work under tender pressure without letting accuracy drop. You can manage multiple tenders, keep records organised, and flag risks before they become problems.

You are detailed, commercially aware, organised, and able to communicate clearly with both internal teams and external suppliers.

If people already rely on you to get the numbers right, this will feel familiar.
