Ok Tedi Development Foundation (OTDF) is a not-for-profit organization, operating independently of Ok Tedi Mining Limited since 2010, and is a 100% owned Papua New Guinea company mandated to ensure the wise and sustainable use of the wealth created from mining operations for future generations and delivers projects to communities through a unique partnership between mining, the people and government of Papua New Guinea.

EXECUTIVE MANAGER – CORPORATE SERVICES
This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Executive Management Team. The EM-CS provides leadership and direction to achieve agreed strategies, objectives and annual targets for the corporate services functions (including Finance, Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Information Services, CMCA Trust Administration and Media & Communications), guided by the OTDF Strategic Direction, annual workplans, budgets, policies and procedures approved by the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all OTDF financial, performance, audit, and statutory reporting obligations are met accurately and within required timeframes, including reporting to CEO, the Board, funding organizations, OTDF project leaders, and other stakeholders, utilizing established Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks.
- Lead and manage all internal and external financial audit processes, including coordination with external auditors, timely resolution of audit findings, implementation of agreed recommendations, and reporting of audit outcomes to the Chief Executive Officer and Board.
- Maintain executive accountability for the development, implementation, and continuous review of OTDF corporate service policies, systems, and procedures, ensuring they remain current, fit-for-purpose, and fully complied with by staff and contractors.
- Chair relevant OTDF Committees, including the Tender Committee, ensuring committee deliberations are underpinned by strong probity, transparency, and value-for-money principles.
- Represent OTDF in internal and external forums as delegated by the Chief Executive Officer, including participation in annual Communications Patrols and other stakeholder engagement activities.
- Provide strategic leadership to staff to deliver the objectives and performance targets outlined in the OTDF Strategic Direction 2021–2025 (and successor plans), with responsibility for financial management, audit, and corporate services outcomes
- Ensure all statutory and operational insurance policies are proactively reviewed, maintained, and renewed within required timeframes to adequately manage organizational risk.
- Lead research, analysis, and implementation of continuous business improvement initiatives across management accounting, financial systems, audit readiness, and broader corporate service functions to enhance organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.
- Ensure OTDF’s occupational health and safety programs and systems are strategically planned, implemented, monitored, and adequately resourced to achieve a zero-harm culture for employees and contractors.
- Champion a strong corporate culture grounded in ethical conduct, integrity, and accountability, fostering a positive and professional workplace environment that attracts, develops, and retains high-performing staff.
- Proactively advise the Chief Executive Officer on emerging financial, audit, governance, compliance, or operational risks within areas of responsibility, and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to mitigate those risks.
Qualification & Experience
- Masters or a Bachelor in Commerce/Accounting
- CPA / CA Membership (or similar)
- Minimum 10 - 15 years’ management experience in a Finance or Accounting environment
- High level of discretion and sound judgement with managing confidential information
- Willing to live and work in a remote location in PNG
- Experience in using Attaché software or other similar Financial Management Information System
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel (advanced skills required).
Kiunga is a remote location in the North Fly District of Western Province of PNG. The candidate needs to be well suited to working in an isolated environment and must be self-motivated. He must be able to manage a FIFO roster of 8 weeks on/2 weeks off and have a well-balanced corporate profile with a strong finance element, and an ability to interact with rural communities as required.
