Experienced Panel Manager
(The quality-control, no-comebacks kind)

Important: If you do not have proven panel shop or collision repair management experience, please do not submit your CV.

PNG Motors is one of Papua New Guinea’s leading automotive groups, representing brands like Ford, Mazda, Hyundai, Suzuki, JMC and Joylong. Our workshops and repair operations depend on accuracy, discipline, quality workmanship, and strong leadership.

We’re looking for an experienced Panel Manager to lead panel repair operations and make sure every job is managed properly from assessment through to completion.

This is not a role for someone who only understands the theory. We need someone who knows panel repairs, understands workshop flow, can manage tradesmen, and can keep quality, timelines, and customer expectations under control.

If your experience is limited, this is not the one to test it on.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the panel shop, including job allocation, repair planning, workflow, quality control, staff supervision, and customer/job updates.

That includes assessing repair requirements, coordinating panel beating and paint work, checking job cards, monitoring repair progress, managing parts requirements, and making sure vehicles are repaired to a high standard before delivery.

You’ll work closely with service advisors, parts teams, technicians, insurers, customers, and management to make sure each job is handled professionally and completed on time.

You’ll also be responsible for maintaining workshop discipline, safe work practices, productivity, and proper reporting.

The expectation is simple: manage the job properly, control the quality, deliver the vehicle properly.

Who This Suits

This role suits an experienced Panel Manager or senior panel repair professional with real workshop leadership experience.

You understand panel beating, collision repair, paint preparation, refinishing standards, repair estimates, job costing, parts coordination, and workshop scheduling.

You know how to manage people, not just jobs. You can lead tradesmen, control workflow, deal with pressure, and make sure standards do not drop when the workshop gets busy.

You should be confident checking repair quality, identifying poor workmanship, solving bottlenecks, and making sure vehicles do not leave the shop with avoidable defects.

You keep your paperwork accurate, your team accountable, and your standards high.

If people already rely on you to bring order to a busy panel shop, this will feel familiar.

Why You’ll Like Working Here

PNG Motors operates a busy automotive business with real volume, recognised global brands, and high customer expectations.

You’ll be working with experienced teams who understand that good panel work is not just about fixing damage — it is about safety, appearance, customer confidence, and protecting the reputation of the business.

This is a role where leadership matters, quality is noticed, and strong workshop managers are taken seriously.

How to Apply
