The Opportunity

Our client, Boluda Towage, is a global leader in maritime services, recognised worldwide for its extensive fleet and specialised expertise in towage, port services, and sustainable maritime operations. With a legacy of stability and a forward-looking approach to the "blue economy," they are currently seeking expressions of interest from highly qualified senior officers to join their international fleet.

We are looking for leaders who prioritise safety, environmental stewardship, and operational precision.

1. Master - Class 2 (STCW Reg. II/2 | Reg. IV/2)

Focus: Command, Navigational Safety, and Fleet Excellence

As the primary authority onboard, you will be responsible for the safe navigation and overall operation of the vessel. We are seeking professionals who can balance high-level voyage planning with the mentorship of a dedicated crew.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exercise full command and responsibility for the safe navigation and operation of the vessel.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations including STCW, SOLAS, and MARPOL.
  • Manage and supervise the ship's crew and onboard operations.
  • Oversee cargo operations, voyage planning, and navigational safety.
  • Ensure implementation of the vessel's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Maintain communication with shore management and port authorities.
  • Ensure safety drills, emergency preparedness, and environmental protection procedures are conducted.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid STCW Certificate of Competency - Master Class 2 (Regulation II/2).
  • Valid GMDSS General Operator Certificate (Regulation IV/2).
  • Relevant sea-going experience in command or senior deck officer capacity.
  • Valid seafarer medical certificate.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
2. Chief Engineer - Class 2 (STCW Reg. III/2)
Focus: Engineering Excellence, Asset Integrity, and Systems Management

We are seeking a highly skilled technical lead to oversee the safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery. This role is critical for vessel readiness and long-term technical reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operation and maintenance of the main engine, auxiliary engines, and all engineering systems.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and vessel safety procedures.
  • Lead and supervise the engineering team onboard.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate engineering logs and technical records.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to machinery operations.
  • Coordinate with the Master regarding vessel operational readiness.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid STCW Certificate of Competency - Chief Engineer Class 2 (Regulation III/2).
  • Proven sea-going experience in a senior engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems and maintenance practices.
  • Valid seafarer medical certificate.
  • Strong leadership and technical troubleshooting skills.
