Summary

The Exterior Carpenter is responsible for constructing and repairing exterior structures, such as decks, fences, and outdoor furniture. They use carpentry skills and tools to ensure the quality and durability of outdoor installations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, or other materials.
  • Construct and install exterior structures, including decks, fences, and pergolas.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on existing exterior structures.
  • Select and use appropriate tools and equipment for carpentry tasks.
  • Ensure work meets safety and building code standards.
  • Collaborate with construction teams and contractors as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Exterior Carpenter or similar role.
  • Proficiency in carpentry techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of outdoor construction materials and methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities.
