Monier Limited, the single largest producer, supplier and distributor of construction materials and building products in PNG, is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and highly motivated individual for the following position:

Extruder Operator

The Extruder operator is responsible for pipe production process with the standard quality pipes with minimum downtime, less rejection & timely production machine schedule and breakdown maintenance.

Duties include;

• Plan and discuss with the production manager for the daily schedule of the plant - Poly Pipe Plant.
• Carry out production and ensure the correct standard/quality pipe produced.
• Prepare the machines for planned production.
• Conduct product size (Mould/Sleeve change) change exercise to produce the planned product and ensure all changes are made.
• Prepare the raw material consumption, production, dispatch record to report production manager on daily basis.
• Ensure efficient operation of equipment in supervision of production manager.
• Follow the Preventive maintenance method to prevent breakdowns while production.
• Coordinate with the activities of Co-workers in the plant.
• Ensure proper stacking of finish product at stocking yard with proper safety.
• Ensure the Machine spares/parts are handled with care.
• Follow the Non-Conformance policy to separate the non-conforming products from finish products.
• Follow quality policies and implement guidelines from the production manager to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Compliance with safety guidelines and Company policies.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• More than 3 years of plant operations experience.
• Familiar with poly allied pipe production and work atmosphere.
• Able to operate forklift/lifting crane to lift pipes.
• Able to lead the general hand and assist other operators to complete the task.
• Able adapt to changes.
