Position Overview

The Facilities Manager (Maintenance) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all maintenance activities across properties. This role ensures inspections, scheduling, and reporting are completed from start to finish. The Facilities Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and closely supervise field workers and contractors onsite to guarantee smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise maintenance staff and contractors onsite, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify issues, verify work quality, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Develop and finalize maintenance schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and review maintenance reports, inspection checklists, and work orders for submission to the Operations Manager.
  • Coordinate monthly preventive maintenance activities, ensuring documentation and reporting are accurate.
  • Oversee external contractors, ensuring adherence to company standards and timely delivery of services.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in similar role
  • Background knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry.
  • Understanding of property operations, maintenance systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to enforce standards and ensure accountability among staff and contractors.
  • Anticipate issues, propose solutions, and implement preventive measures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for reporting and team coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, inspections, and reports simultaneously.

Reporting Line

  • Reports directly to the Operations Manager.
  • Provides updates on inspections, schedules, and maintenance reports.
  • Collaborates with contractors and field workers to ensure smooth workflow.
