FACILITIES SUPERINTENDENT

Join our dynamic team at SPICTL, Lae Tidal Basin!

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Superintendent to lead and oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of our terminal facilities.

KEY QUALIFICATION

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, or Architecture from a recognized PNG or overseas University. (please include copy of your degree in your CV)
• Additional knowledge in electrical and mechanical fields.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years supervisory experience in maintenance within ports, mines, steel, or manufacturing environments.
• 5+ years hands‑on experience in facility or estate maintenance and repair.
• Strong experience in building maintenance or facility operations.
• Experience in data analysis and interpreting reports.
• Demonstrated experience supervising teams and contractors.

KNOWLEDGE

• Building systems: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, flooring, grounds maintenance.
• Construction and renovation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Fire & Building Codes and safety system requirements.
• Occupational Health & Safety Regulations (Level I & II preferred).
• SAP, WHMIS and MS Office applications.

• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑service driven with strong stakeholder awareness.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Problem‑solving skills and adaptability in fast‑paced environments.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid PNG Driver’s Licence.
• Current IEPNG Membership
• Facilities Management is an advantage.
