ATLAS STEEL - LAE MOROBE PROVINCE

FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

Job Scope

Responsible for overseeing the Financial Management, Consolidation of Financial Reports and Administrative operations of the entire Atlas Lae Branch.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting
    1. Consolidate monthly financial reports.
    2. Analyse consolidated financial reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern.
    3. Monitor overseas payables.
  2. Stocks and Shipping Operations Management
    1. Supervise the procurement process Domestic and International Purchases-end to end
    2. Collaborate with Sales Managers and relevant business units to coordinate timely stock availability for their specific requirements.
    3. Manager/oversee stock orders, suppliers, shipping logistics for International purchases to guarantee on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
  3. Administrative Oversight
    1. Supervise Administrative staff at the Branch, ensuring efficient Office Operations, by providing guidance, support, and direction to the team
    2. Responsible for the areas such as Office Supplies, HR & Training, Security, Business Travel/Logistics, Fleet Management.
  4. Compliance Oversight
    1. In accordance with Company Policies, Standards and Practices, ensure compliance, including but not limited to Customs Regulations, Employment Regulation, Stock & Inventory Control, Plant and Machinery Licencing, Insurance, Land Tax/Rentals and Occupational Health & Safety.
  5. Other Duties
    1. Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned by the Divisional Financial Controller.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  1. Degree in Accounting or related Finance discipline.
  2. Minimum 5 -10 years’ experience in similar Finance and Administration role.
  3. Must be a current financial member of Certified Practicing Accountants. Will be required to register with the Certified Practicing Accountants PNG before commencement.
  4. Working knowledge in using computerized accounting systems, preferably Sage 300 (formerly known as ACCPAC) for Windows
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  6. Excellent business acumen, interpersonal & analytical skills.
  7. Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain strong relationships with staff and management alike.
  8. Good command of English language.
  9. Results orientated, and business driven.
  10. Resilient and adaptable to meet unexpected business demands and changing situations.
  11. Approach problem solving & solutions in an open, understanding, and pragmatic manner.
  12. Demonstrate a high level of customer service and be team focused.

Other Information

Location – Lae,Morobe Province

Remuneration - Will be commensurate to qualifications and experience.

Probation - Full term appointment is subject to a three (3) month probationary period.
