Pactrade (PNG) Limited is an established FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and is part of CJ Patel Group of Companies in Fiji. Pactrade is represented in PNG with its Head Office in Port Moresby and a branch in Lae, Morobe Province. We are looking for committed and dynamic candidates for the above position open at our Head Office in Port Moresby.

Reporting directly to the Company Accountant, the role of the Finance Officer is to perform efficient and accurate accounting functions. Responsibilities include:

1. Ensure compliance with all standard operations policies and procedures related to day-to-day activities.
2. Maintain a filing system and ensure confidentiality and security of all files.
3. Perform Bank reconciliations and identity discrepancies (if any)
4. Maintaining Fixed assets register, warranty cards and catalogues/ Coding and safeguard of assets
5. Financial data analysis and reconciliation including preparation of balance sheet schedules
6. Check petty cash vouchers and supporting documents and approve for reimbursement.
7. Maintenance of Purchase Orders & GSRN’sin the system.
8. Honest and able to maintain and handle cash.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management (Compulsory)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role
• Familiar with MS Office Suite, and experience in any Accounting Software
• Fluent in English language both written and oral
• Excellent time management skill & ability to priorities a demanding workload.
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Ability to work autonomously
