We seek a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance team in Port Moresby.

Reporting to General Manager – Finance. The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial stability, ensuring compliance, strategic planning, and effective resource allocation. Responsible for managing financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and optimizing financial performance.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Review and ensure supplier statement reconciliations are completed up to-date
• Review AP and AR ageing and to follow-up on the settlement of overdue
• Fixed Assets accounting
• Review and ensure clearing accounts, bank reconciliations and inter-co accounts are reconciled and cleared monthly
• Closing of monthly accounts and roll over of ledgers
• Preparation of financial budgets, forecasts and projections of the company
• Preparation of monthly financial reports with financial analysis (actual vs. budget and key performance indicators which may facilitate some form of benchmarking amount the group of companies) highlighting areas of concern for Management Team review
• Initiate process, quality of information and internal control improvements
• Monitor, manage and reconcile tax filings with IRC (income tax, GST, withholding tax, wages tax & etc.)
• Monitor and manage IPA filings and matters
• Liaison and managing the external audits of the company
• Any other tasks and responsibilities as assigned from time to time

What We’re Looking For:

• Must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• Must be a member of a professional Institute of Accountants, recognized by the Certified Practicing Accountants of PNG.
• At least 8 Year(s) of experience in Finance Manager role is required for this position.
• Preferably 8 Year(s) hands on experience working with ERP systems and knowledge of PRONTO will be an added advantage
• Initiative – typically work independently and should take the initiative and make decisions
• Analytical thinking – an analytical mind-set and numerical skills are useful in manipulating large amounts of data and creating reports
• Judgment – the ability to think objectively, have strong ethical standards, as well as high levels of integrity to adhere to regulations and compliance are necessary
• Organization skills – need to be incredibly organized and be able to prioritize their workload, as well as be resilient and calm under pressure
• Communication skills – work closely with and present valuable data to other teams, managers, and stakeholders
