Career Opportunity
Christian Leaders Training College (CLTC) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Vice Principal - Operations, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership and ensure the effective management of the College’s financial resources, systems, and compliance obligations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage the overall financial operations of the College.
- Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets and financial plans.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, taxation, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow, financial forecasting, and banking functions.
- Oversee payroll administration and financial controls.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance and provide strategic advice to the College leadership.
- Develop and maintain sound financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Support resource mobilization initiatives, grants management, and donor reporting requirements where applicable.
- Promote accountability, transparency, and stewardship of College resources.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and financial management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing audits and maintaining effective internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience within the education, church, non-government, or not-for-profit sector will be an advantage.
