The Opportunity

The Finance Specialist will process and reconcile financial transactions, prepare schedules and assist in the production of management reports. The Finance Specialist will work to established deadlines, contribute to month-end and year-end close activities and help maintain accounting policies and documentation. The role requires adherence to internal controls, accurate record keeping and prompt resolution of discrepancies raised by stakeholders or auditors.

What You’ll Do

  • Reviewing and posting accounts payable batches (supplier’s invoice and payments)
  • Overseeing the end-to end accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Assist in supervising, guiding and developing the finance team
  • Collaborate in the process review and implementation of any proposed changes
  • Assist on the implementation of Finance project
  • Assist during audits (internal & external)
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with the financial and tax regulations
  • Preparing ad-hoc reports as required by the direct reports
  • Assist with other related duties as maybe required by the direct reports
  • Assist in reviewing of GL accounts balances, identify and resolve any discrepancies /mis-posting
  • Review of supplier’s payment reconciliation
  • Posting of payments
  • Ensure that daily bank statements are printed and given to the finance staff (Accounts Receivable, Credit Card and Bank reconciliation officer) for timely reconciliation and posting
  • To check and monitor daily, monthly and quarterly CSA compliance.
  • To monitor bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation process, ensuring that the tasks are being done and completed on a daily basis

What we need from you

  • 3+ years experiences in similar role
  • Posses excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communicator, both written & oral.
  • Ability to set priorities in workload and plan
  • Background in Hospitality industry
  • Experience in Corporate finance set-up
  • Diploma in Accounting or leading to having a diploma in Accounting
