Nestle (PNG) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Fitter Machinist for the Factory division based at the Lae Factory site

Reporting directly to the Maintenance & Repair Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for
maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the M&R Supervisor in maintenance activities and perform preventive maintenance on
  machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, ensuring efficient operation and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with production supervisors on start-up and shutdown of production lines.
• Conduct daily checks and report abnormalities to ensure proper functioning of the plant.
• Prepare work orders for repairs and maintain documentation of maintenance activities.
• Participate in factory improvement projects and assist in installation jobs.

Qualification, skills, and experience:

• Certificate / Diploma in Fitting, Machining, or a related field.
• NATTB Fitting & Machining Tradesman certificate would be an advantage
• Proven experience in maintenance and repair of production machinery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, written and oral
• Able to work with minimal supervision and on shift basis
• Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with the use of MS Office Suite.
