Monier Limited the single largest producer, supplier and distributor of construction materials and building products in PNG,currently is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and highly motivated individual for this position:

Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner

The Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring all routine maintenance activities for the Metso Crushing, Screening & Stockpiling Plant and the CDE Sand Wash Plant are effectively planned, enabling work to be carried out in a safe, environmentally responsible and cost-effective manner. Where required, the FPM Planner will lead problem solving activities, including root cause analysis to improve work effectiveness and efficiency and to prevent the recurrence of any adverse incidents.

Duties Include:

  • Maintaining and continuously improving the Maintenance Work Management Process (Planning and Scheduling).
  • Scope the full extent of maintenance activities as required to execute the preventive and planned maintenance work across the Metso Crushing Screening & Stockpiling plant and the CDE Sand Wash plant.
  • Manage both the repair order backlog and forward log to ensure timely completion of outstanding work, while driving optimal production and maintenance outcomes.
  • Conduct labour resource loading and capacity planning to ensure appropriate manpower allocation every scheduling period.
  • Develop standard jobs and parts lists for routine PM (Preventive Maintenance) and PCR (Planned Component Replacement) tasks.
  • Develop maintenance procedures that uphold defect-free work quality standards.
  • Capture and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to both maintenance and operations teams with the goal of enhancing equipment reliability and availability.
  • Evaluate job feedback to identify opportunities and make recommendations and implement changes to improve future planned work.
  • Produce work-in-progress updates and periodic reports for maintenance and operations stakeholders.
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions to eliminate or mitigate associated risks.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities remain fully compliant with Monier safety procedures, policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across work management processes, systems and safety practices.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Qualifications in Maintenance Planning.
  • Recognized mechanical trade qualification in Fitting & Machining.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning.
  • Must have experience in using CMMS/ERP systems (Fleetmate, MEX, Pronto, Oracle).
  • Must have advanced skills in MS Excel and MS office suite.
  • Must have current Driver’s License
