Monier Limited the single largest producer, supplier and distributor of construction materials and building products in PNG is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and highly motivated individual for the following position:

Fixed Plant Maintenance Workshop Supervisor

The Fixed Plant Maintenance Workshop Supervisor is responsible for ensuring quality maintenance and repair work is performed on all Mobile Crushing & Screening Plants and on the main Metso Crushing Plant and the Sand Washing Plant at Nebiri Quarry.

Duties Include:

• Ensure timely and optimum maintenance is carried out on the mobile crushing & screening plants, also on main Metso crushing plant including Sand Washing Plant.
• Coordinating daily work activities for the maintenance team and ensure that man-hours are effectively utilized to optimize maintenance and improve plant reliability and availability.
• Ensuring a culture of best practice and continuous improvement is encapsulated within the plant maintenance workshop.
• Work with maintenance planners and provide input into the weekly schedule and repair order backlog management.
• Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair and PM activities on all mobile & fixed plants.
• Coordinate with purchasing regarding critical spares parts required for stock and maintenance & repairs.
• Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality.
• Undertake workplace Safety inspections and recommend actions to be taken to eliminate and mitigate hazards and
• Actively contribute towards continuously improving the safety, quality and productivity of the team.
• Undertake all tasks in accordance with the company’s health and safety rules, company policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Trade qualification in Fitting & Machining or Metal Fabrication & Welding.
• Minimum 15 years of work experience as a tradesman and supervisor.
• Must have current Driver’s License
