Fleet Operations & Administration
Maintain accurate records of fleet assets, equipment utilization, maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fleet reports.
Track fuel consumption, equipment hours, vehicle mileage, downtime, and operational performance.
Project Coordination
Develop a clear understanding of project scope, schedules, and equipment requirements.
Monitor equipment availability and coordinate fleet deployment to support project activities and ensure operational continuity.
Liaise with project management teams to identify current and future equipment needs.
Equipment Knowledge & Monitoring
Demonstrate sound knowledge of heavy equipment, including dozers, excavators, dump trucks, loaders, raders and other construction equipment
Monitor equipment performance and identify operational or maintenance concerns.
Assist in planning preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
Site Visits & Inspections
Conduct daily site visits to monitor equipment condition, utilization, and operational efficiency.
Verify equipment operating hours and ensure compliance with company procedures.
Report safety concerns, equipment defects, and operational issues to relevant personnel.
Coordination Between Operations & Workshop
Act as the primary communication link between equipment operators and the workshop maintenance team.
Coordinate repair requests, maintenance schedules, and equipment servicing activities.
Ensure operators report defects and equipment issues promptly.
Follow up on maintenance progress and communicate equipment status to site management.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure fleet operations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Support equipment inspections, insurance coverage and certification processes.
Promote safe equipment operation and maintenance practices.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Equipment Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet administration, equipment coordination, or construction fleet management.
Experience working with heavy construction and mining equipment.
Knowledge of fleet management systems and maintenance tracking software is an advantage.
Required Skills
