The Role:
Reporting to the Fleet Superintendent & Fleet Coordinator, the Fleet Operations Supervisor ensures proper management of company fleet vehicles, coordinate maintenance and repair schedules, provide supervision on contracted drivers, maintain relations with contractors and service providers and implement the company’s safe driving policies and emergency response capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the company fleet vehicles, develop schedule for servicing and replacement as required.
- Prepare, deliver and promote road safety initiatives.
- Assists and coordinates driver resources during emergency situations.
- Monitoring respect of driving rules and implement reward/sanction policy.
- Prepares weekly reports and any other ad-hoc reports when requested by the management.
- Monitor drivers roster to ensure fatigue management is adhered.
- Review all incidents in tandem with Fleet Superintendent & Fleet Coordinator
- Focus on the effective and efficient operation of the Fleet from both an operational and financial perspective
- Diploma graduate or equivalent
- 8 years + relevant experience in transportation and/or security company with knowledge of Road safety principles
- Being a team player, focused on problem solving with excellent human relations with good level of English
- Good knowledge of MS Office/Excel/Power Point
- Excellent knowledge of Port Moresby
- Hold a PNG driver’s license – Class 3 & 6 (preferable but not essential)
- Must have effective & efficient operation of fleet in a fast paced environment and possess basic mechanical knowledge of light vehicles.
