Monier Limited, the single largest producer, supplier and distributor of construction materials and building products in PNG is seeking to recruit suitable qualified and highly motivated individual for the position:

Fleet Supervisor

The position is responsible for day-to-day operations of Fleet (Trucks and Mobile Plant) in meeting the client(s) requirement and company objectives.

Duties include:

• Ensuring all mobile plant and trucks are mechanically maintained and clean.
• Ensuring all required reports are submitted on time.
• Ensure all fleet operational procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure drivers and operators adhere to traffic rules and regulations.
• Implement and enforce fleet schedules and policy changes.
• Liaising with relevant section ensuring scheduled deliveries are performed daily per allocation plan & client’s.
• Maintain fleet ensuring scheduled services and preventative maintenance is performed, whilst minimizing downtime.
• Maintain section compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain open communication on two-way radio with all drivers.
• Maintain fleet inventory with regular vehicle inspections.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage employees ensuring manpower are allocated to fleet on daily basis.
• Overseeing and ensuring man haul requirements are met.
• Overseeing and ensuring all fleet plant prestart checks are done.
• Overseeing and ensuring all office consumables are available.
• Ordering of necessary items in meeting day to day operation.
• Reporting to the Operations Manager on query loads and deliveries.
• Report all mechanical repairs to the workshop.
• Resolve disputes.
• Stay abreast and inform any new or changes with traffic rules and regulations along with improved processes and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Transport management qualifications.
• Computer literate.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Three years plus of transport management role.
• Knowledge of road networks within city areas.
• Good attention to detail.
• Customer focused.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work well as part of a team.
