Food Technologist

GTM Distributor is looking for a reliable and experienced Food Technologist to join our production team. The Food Technologist is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining the quality, safety, and nutritional value of food products. This role involves research, testing, and ensuring that all food production processes meet company standards, government regulations, and customer expectations tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and test new food products and recipes to meet market and consumer needs.
• Ensure all food production and processing comply with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Monitor and improve production processes to enhance product quality, shelf life, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, results, and product specifications.
• Provide technical support to production teams and assist with troubleshooting product or process issues.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, and regulatory bodies on quality and product matters.
• Implement and maintain HACCP, GMP, and ISO food safety systems.
• Participate in sensory evaluation, shelf-life studies, and packaging trials.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in food processing, product development, or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP).
• Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and food analysis.
• Proficiency in data collection, documentation, and reporting.
