Position Vacant: Forklift Operator

Function: Supply Chain

Location: Lae

We have an immediate requirement for a Forklift Operator to join our Logistics Team based in Lae, reporting to the Depot Supervisor - Lae.

Main duties include:

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse safely.

• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Adhere to the Brewery's Quality and Food Safety Management System and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and organizing products.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

Qualification and Experience:

• Experience as a Forklift Operator in a FMCG industry or similar.
• Valid class 7 forklift driver’s license.
• Experience in warehouse operations with a strong understanding of inventory management.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
• Must have background knowledge on Forklift Safety Operations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Result oriented, shows initiative, and maintains a sense of urgency.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility to work on shift rotations and during weekends as required.
• Must have a valid Police Clearance.
