The Role:

They are currently seeking a General Manager - IT & Innovation to join their executive team. Reporting to the CEO, this role will lead the organisation’s digital strategy, enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and innovation agenda. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial mindset, deep technical expertise, and the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels. This is a high-impact role suited to someone with proven experience in leading enterprise technology transformations within complex, regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of IT and digital transformation strategies aligned to business goals
• Oversee the delivery of secure, scalable IT infrastructure and innovative technology services
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and member experience
• Ensure robust governance across cybersecurity, data management, and IT risk
• Build and lead a high-performing IT and innovation team
• Cultivate partnerships with technology vendors, regulators, and industry stakeholders

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications desirable)
• 10+ years of senior IT leadership experience, ideally within financial services or other regulated sectors
• Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation, data strategy, and IT operations
• Strong understanding of cyber risk, data governance, and emerging technologies
• Commercial acumen and ability to align technology with strategic organisational objectives
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
