The Role

Woodlark Mining Ltd is seeking a motivated Geologist to join our Geology and Exploration team on Woodlark Island.

The role will report to the Senior Geologist and provide geological field and technical expertise for Geology, Woodlark Gold Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct target generation and exploration field work over a mature gold project.
• Working with incomplete datasets and provide work proposals with recommendations in-line with company objectives.
• Execute approved work plans in the field and manage a small field team.
• Familiar with surface sampling techniques and effective sample collection methodology.
• Willing to log reverse circulation chips and diamond drill core.
• Familiar with reverse circulation and diamond core sampling methods and aware of QA/QC requirements in Exploration and Resource Definition drilling.
• Manage sample submissions, conduct queries and resolving issues when they occur.
• Track and review analytical reports and flag anomalous results.
• Recommend further work programmes based on historical and reported results.
• Attention to detail, with the ability to tabulate and report results.
• Proactive attitude to OHS&E in the workplace.
