Graduate Trainee – Investment Department

Comrade Trustee Services Limited (CTSL), Trustee for the Defence Force Retirement Benefits Fund (DFRBF), invites applications from motivated recent graduates to join its Investment Department as a Graduate Trainee.

Responsibilities Summary

The Graduate Trainee provides entry-level administrative and analytical support to the Investments Team. The role focuses on maintaining accurate investment records, supporting reporting and valuations, and assisting with compliance and audit processes, while developing practical experience across listed, unlisted, fixed income, and property investments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Investment Manager, the role of the Graduate Trainee is to:

• Maintain accurate investment records, registers, and documentation.
• Support preparation of monthly and quarterly investment reports and reconciliations.
• Assist with valuation processes and provide audit support documentation.
• Support compliance with internal policies, governance requirements, and Board approvals.
• Coordinate information requests with investment managers, valuers, auditors, and investee companies.
• Use and update Excel-based systems and document management tools while developing knowledge of investment and valuation processes.

Qualification and Experience

The ideal candidate must at a minimum satisfy the following criteria:

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, or related field.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize documents and manage data accurately.
• Willingness to learn financial and investment concepts.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Good time management skills and a reliable work ethic.
• Professional attitude with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and seek clarification when required.
