Grounds Operations Training Officer
We are pleased to announce an open vacancy exists in our Operations Division for a qualified and experienced Ground Operations Training Officer
Based in Port Moresby Ground Operations Training Officer is responsible to the Ground Operations Training and Compliance Manager for Ground Operations training development and delivery, and continuous improvement of Ground Operations training across PNG Air
Duties
- Developing and maintaining training curriculums for the various roles within the Operations Department.
- Deliver a minimum of four (4) different Ground Operations training programs – including but not limited to Ramp Training, Dangerous Good (DG) Awareness, Customer Service Officer (CSO), and cargo systems Training.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to support the regular assessment of learning and development needs.
- Provide input into Ground Operations Training Plan and a cost-effective training schedule.
- Ensure training programs keep staff compliant with all current and proposed regulations and legislation.
- Document training processes in the relevant manuals and align all training material to Ground Operations requirements.
- Continuously improve training using varied learning styles and delivery methods (face to face, online, blended) and incorporate industry best practice in instructional design.
- Maintain training records for all staff using the company systems and provide regular reports on the future training requirements to the Ground Operations Training and Compliance Manager
- Perform regular internal audits of training records to ensure all staff have completed regulatory and company training with agreed timeframes.
- Coordinate and assist with schedule third -party and internal audits, including supporting the safety and compliance team.
- Developing and maintaining a learning assessment and evaluation program;
- Scheduling courses and personnel to attend these courses to ensure all staff and contractors have been trained and checked to meet compliance requirements and remain current.
- Co-facilitate JSA training with Safety and Compliance team.
Qualification/Experiences
- Diploma in education or Degree in Education
- Train of Trainers (TOT) certificate, or equivalent to certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Minimum five (5) years proven training experience in Ground Operations.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver minimum of four (4) different training programs (e.g Ramp Training, DG Awareness, CSO, Cargo Systems Training)
- Able to understand and communicate with staff at all levels.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Advanced computer skills, preferably in the Microsoft suit or products.
