GROUP ACCOUNTANT

Key responsibility:

• Responsible for the accuracy of accounting records and timely reporting of financial statements making accounting records organized, updated, available and accurate. Provides supports to the Financial Controller for the financial management of the company’s operations

Qualifications:

• At least 7 - 8 years of accounting and finance experience
• Must be a CPA and has knowledge of PNG and Australian financial legislation and regulations
• Knowledge of finance, management accounting, treasury and budgeting principles including to-date Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, projections and inventory.
• Excellent computing skills in Microsoft Office applications and Pronto
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate employees to produce quality work within a tight timeframe
• Ability to participate, lead and facilitate group meetings
• Proven people, management and leadership skills, and has the ability to maintain effective relationships with people of different cultural backgrounds
• Team work, leadership and proactive approach to the work environment
• Development of timely and quality reports that are value adding to the operation.
• Strong administration skills
