About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Group Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing the group’s financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company’s strategic growth objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to provide accurate and timely financial insights that drive decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee group cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Monitor financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead external audits and liaise with auditors, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support the finance team with technical accounting guidance and mentoring.
• Assist senior management with financial planning, investment analysis, and corporate governance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent (CPA-PNG member).
• Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior or group reporting role.
• Technically strong finance professional with experience handling large projects
• Proficiency in Xero and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
