ABOUT THE ROLE

To be our Head of Human Capital, you will be our Leader to oversee the Human Capital Department. You will also be working alongside various stakeholders to develop Human Capital strategies and oversee the end-to-end life cycle of the People Function. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the organization and contribute to our strategic goals. You will be based at our Head Office in Port Moresby.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING WITH YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Lead and oversee HR initiatives set by the Board and Executive Management
  • Be responsible for leading and managing the Human Capital Department including the payroll function.
  • Oversee compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements of the People Function.
  • Be passionate about people development and drive effective Training & Development programs.
  • Review and develop continuous improvement in Human Capital policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage key relationships both internally and externally.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING WITH YOUR QUALIFICATION

  • Tertiary qualification of a Bachelors Degree in a recognized tertiary Institution.
  • Post Graduate Qualification will be an advantage.
  • Be a Member of the PNG Human Resource Institute (PNGHRI)
  • 10+ years of experience as a Generalist HR, Management and Leadership
  • Good understanding of labour laws and legislative requirements
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels communicating with various stakeholders
  • Experience in managing Payroll will be an advantage
  • Work experience in Banking & Financial Institution will be an advantage
  • Must meet the BPNG Fit & Proper Requirements
