Head of Project Management

A locally owned financial institution is seeking a dynamic leader to drive its project portfolio and business growth. Committed to values-based and inclusive banking, the organization serves retail, SME, and corporate clients across PNG, with a focus on digital innovation and everyday banking solutions.

The Role

Reporting to the Group COO, you will oversee diverse projects, ensuring delivery on scope, time, budget, and quality. You will drive business improvement through Agile methodologies, risk management, and adherence to governance standards. The role includes managing client relationships, leading high-level presentations, supporting system integrations (core banking, digital channels, payments), and mentoring project teams to foster collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) with 10+ years in senior operational or project management roles
• 5–10 years’ leadership experience in a similar role
• Strong project management, analytical, and team leadership skills
• Expertise in application development methodologies and technologies
• PMP certification or formal project management training preferred
