The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial lending leader to head the Secured Lending division of one of PNG's leading financial institutions. The role leads a team of Relationship Managers, Lending Officers, Credit Analysts and Business Support staff, and plays a key role in shaping new business development, client relationships and lending performance nationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve regional and client budgets, ensuring high standards of operational delivery and financial management across all offices
• Lead and manage the Secured Lending team, ensuring annual performance targets and customer service standards are met
• Drive new business development across key industries, while growing and retaining the existing client base
• Develop and implement account management plans for major accounts, and build strong alliances with private and public sector clients
• Support the development of individual staff through training, coaching and mentoring
• Actively participate in Senior Leadership Team and PLMC committees, contributing to broader business strategy

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Banking, Commerce or Business Management
• Strong knowledge of Commercial Lending Sales Pipeline Management, with a proactive, business development-focused approach
• Proven track record in divisional financial management, budgeting and profitability
• Established network of local business contacts
• Proven people leadership experience, with a strong ability to train, motivate and develop staff
• Competent user of Microsoft Applications, with exposure to banking/financial software
• PNG Nationals Only.
