The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) has immediate vacancies for the following positions. These are full time positions based in Kompiam District Rural Hospital, Kompiam Enga Province.

Health Extension Officer 4 (8CHSENG047) PS 12

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Manager, Hospital Medical Services, this role is a senior role, responsible to provide efficient and effective diagnosis and medical care to patients /Clients in the hospital and other supervising facilities as required.

Outline of duties:

• Diagnose and treat all emergencies and patients
• Treatment and management of all patients
• Do medical procedures and management as requires.
• Do patients admission and referrals to the wards and clinics.
• Advice, support and assist all health staff assigned to carry out activities
• Provide Periodic report to the District Health Manager
• Supervise other HEOs including those undertaking residency

Requirements for the role:

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science is an advantage or similar field
• Diploma in Health Extension Studies
• Must have work experience as a Health Extension Officer for at least 5-7 years
• Must be registered with PNG Medical Board of Papua New Guinea
• Good public Relation and Communication skills
• Must have a valid NID Card or Birth Certificate
• Must have Christian with sober work ethics
